Welcome to Keystone Oaks Odyssey of the Mind!!
Odyssey of the Mind is an extracurricular problem solving competition that fosters creativity, spontaneity, and teamwork. Odyssey of the Mind will challenge students in ways that mimic real life through negotiation, public speaking, stage performances, engineering, creativity... the list goes on and on!
Each team selects a problem to solve, works together to create a solution, and then presents the solution to a panel of judges through an 8-minute skit.

Wise Elves
Placed 2nd in the World
Problem 2 ~ Division 1
The wise elves, all elementary aged kiddos built a robot including a hydraulic claw and electric pully system! Their performance featured ro-bob-ross dismantling art and reinventing it. They also had the judges on their feet with an energetic workout routine.
Precisely Cut Potatoes
Placed 8th in the World
Problem 5 ~ Division 2
The Precisely Cut Potatoes had judges cracking up with their clever performance about an IHOP band that suddenly finds themselves in a Waffle House. The performance literally blew people’s minds (thanks to a special effect using baking soda).
KO Kitty Doggies
Placed 10th in the World
Problem 1 ~ Division 2
The KOKD team’s long term performance was so very ‘punny’ with a twist on the Revolutionary War featuring meat vs. vegetables - or rather the ameaticans vs the beetish. With nearly every inch of their set being covered in tickets- they blew the crowd away with their attention to detail and style!
Iron Roses
Placed 14th in the World
Problem 5 ~ Division 3
The Iron Roses' Medieval Rock Band blew the crowd away with their intricate makeup, creative costumes made purely out of soda cans and guitarp (a completely original instrument that combined a guitar and harp)!
